The Adoption Support Center was born out of the desire of AGAPE's staff and board to become a center of excellence for adoption. For years, it was a point of discussion. But in 2004, it started to become a reality. 

The Adoption Support Center is based on the foundation laid by the TN Adoption Support And Preservation Program (TN ASAP), a collaborative effort with AGAPE, Catholic Charities of Middle TN, and Harmony Adoptions of TN. TN ASAP is an innovative program led by Harmony Adoptions of TN that supports families who have adopted children from the TN Child Welfare System, which is grant funded by the TN Department of Children’s Services.

We are a collaboration of agencies and individuals committed to the common goal of creating and supporting healthy families created through adoption. Our many services are delivered by Master's level therapists working one-on-one with families to identify barriers to success. They then create a care plan that comprehensively addresses the needs of the entire family in order to build and maintain a healthy family life.
